Pleasure Nature is a non-traditional fiction film that questions the persistent stereotyping within the queer scene through a series of visual constructions. Alexander, a young man in his twenties, lives beneath the weight of a world where queer love is reduced to something sexual and animalistic. His deep, unspoken desire to one day become a father stands in stark contrast to how he is perceived: as the personification of untamed passion. Society, a living entity embodied by Archos, fragmentarily invades Alexander’s space, forcing him to navigate through stereotyped fantasies: from homoeroticism in a Roman amphitheater, to forbidden romance in classic Hollywood, to scenes of bestial dehumanization. As the story progresses, Archos becomes a shadowy antagonist that challenges Alexander at every turn. Caught between the role of the beast and that of a loving man, Alexander’s journey becomes an ultimate act of rebellion, aimed at defying and transforming Archos. In the heat of an apocalyptic duel, the metaphor unexpectedly becomes literal: descendants, born from both himself and Archos.
