The Castle Keep (United Kingdom) by Vaughan Douglas Capstick
19m
A group of strangers sat together. Each person reveals something of their past. A traumatic event or set of circumstances which determined the view and shape of the world they lived in. Unable to integrate with their communities as they used to, they become castaways, shipwrecked in a world that’s lost its ability to care for its citizens. Their tragedies shape their confessions as one by one each person delivers a sombre monologue describing why they no longer feel attached to society or its shifting bed of values. In every story there’s a protagonist. A hero or avenging angel who puts right what’s gone wrong. Not in this case. Each soul is stripped bare and paraded beneath the watchful glare of the group who vehemently challenge each other’s views and experiences.
